SMITHS Magnetic Speedometer Gauge Repair, Smiths Tachometer Gauge Repair for Motorcycles

SMITHS Magnetic Instrument Restoration Prices (CAD):

Restoration prices are for full restoration. NO extra costs for replacement parts
Restoration includes the movement overhauled and calibrated. All repairs and parts included in price.
Refinished canister inside and out, new glass, bezel and seals.
New rubber isolation mounts and trip meter decal.
Mileage counter wheels refinished or replaced.
New trip meter stem on side reset speedometers.
Face and pointer are refinished or replaced. New case nuts and screws.
Cases are painted with an automotive paint for a concours finish.
Exchange Instruments must be salvageable (no dents in case, rust through etc.) and reasonably complete. Broken or missing pointer and missing under glass trim ring will occur a nominal charge. Condition of glass, face or bezel does not matter.
Exchange unit does not need to be a match for the instrument you require but must be magnetic for magnetic.

SMITHS Magnetic Instrument Repair quoted on an individual basis.

Repair costs are typically 75% of full restoration cost. (i.e. $200 magnetic).
Repairs typically consist of cleaning, repairing, lubricating and calibrating your instrument.
New glass, bezel, seals, trip meter decal, and rubber isolation mounts are used.
Case, pointer and face refinishing is NOT included.
Turn around is typically less than a week.
ALL instruments are repairable. Prices quoted accordingly.
We can match your motorcycle to the exact instrument it was meant to have.
80mm trip and non-trip speedometers and tachometers.
Speedometer Code Prefixes are SSM (Speedometer, Shallow, Magnetic).
Revolution Indicator Code Prefixes are RSM (Revolution, Shallow, Magnetic).
The MK1 series started in 1964 and ran until 1970.
In October 1970 the MK2 series was introduced. Both series are interchangeable and indistinguishable when installed.
The numbers following the model number of the instrument, indicate the Turns Per Mile (TPM). For MPH either 1000 or 1600.

We can replace the chrome bezel, glass and seals on Smiths gauges for $75 (CAD).

We can replace the chrome bezel, glass, seals and inner ring on VDO speedometers for the BMW R50-R69. Cost $100

We can replace the chrome bezel, glass, and seals on Veglia speedometers. Cost $100
